Actor Katherine Heigl is opening up about how she was born into the "white bubble" and how this realization has affected how she raises her multiracial adopted children. In an interview with the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her looks didn't bother her. But after talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of the stark differences they were. "I asked my sister, Meg to tell me if she'd received the same treatment while going out with us parents and in a different manner in the time she was alone without them. She said: 'Oh, sure, I've seen it all and I've been there all the time! Heigl told parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had resulted in me feeling." Heigl said she got angry and felt that she needed to channel the anger she felt on the adopted children she has. Heigl has a four-year old son who is married to her 13 year old wife, Josh Kelley. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8, who is Black, in 2012.
