Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is well-known for her role as the lead on a number of TV programs as well as her outstanding performances in films. The audience for her work is both Canadian as well as American television. Emily began to become interested after she saw her sister Katie performing in a film. She started taking classes in acting and auditioning when she realized that she loved acting. The first time she auditioned was with small amount of advertisements and then was selected for Are You Are You Afraid of The Dark A Canadian horror show for kids. She was only seen in one scene with no dialog. The WB television show Glory Days, she received her first major break at the age of 15. Emily's performances caught the attention of Dawson's Creek's Greg Berlanti, who then made her a part of his television show Everwood.
