Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson was an American actress best known for portraying Buffy Summers, in the cult movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Some other notable roles included Rebecca Becky Granger from the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show with the identical name. Erica Paget was a character in Early Edition in CBS and Marlowe Viccellio starred in Psych. A native of California Swanson had a passion for acting as a young girl. She began her acting career acting in commercials as an actress. The actress was featured in a scene in the NBC sitcom, It's Your Turn in 1984. Two years later, in the romance comedy Pretty in Pink of 1986 the actress made her screen debut. Swan is known for her gorgeous blonde voice with a breathless hairlisp as well as a the breathless voice. In recent years, she's started playing the role of a side character. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
